Second Temple

The Temple of Zerubbabel is known as the second temple, which was dedicated in the spring of 516 B.C. (Ezr 6:15). It continued until the year 20 B.C., lasting more than 100 years longer than Solomon’s Temple. It was then embellished and expanded by Herod and was finally destroyed by the Romans in A.D. 70.
