We’re in for another case study in revival with this lesson. Hezekiah’s revival led to Jerusalem’s deliverance from the Assyrians. We’re about to meet another great king whose revival brought unity and peace—but still God vowed to do the unthinkable. Judgment was coming to Judah and the capital city would this time be taken by enemy forces.

What made the difference between these two episodes of repentance and revival? What will our takeaway be after seeing such a different outcome? Let’s dig in and find out.
