How do Dr. Ward’s definitions of leadership, ministry, and calling compare with your own?

My definition of leadership is influence and guidance through example. To serve those around us, enabling them to reach their full potential.

My understanding of leadership is the ability to influence people.

My understanding of leadership is the ability to influence and guide people.

I have heard it said too that leadership is the ability to influence people and that it is not restricted to an assigned title in the hierarchy of an organization. Sometimes, a person not in the highest position may have a stronger influence at the one at the top, and is therefore the real leader. A biblical example would be David (before he was crowned king) versus King Saul.
I have also thought about Dr Ward’s definition of leadership as the ability to influence people towards a core vision. Unfortunately, that core vision could be noble or evil, and that leader’s methods to influence people may be upright or deceptive. For Christian leadership, we have to consider the ethical flavor too.
